Hi, my name is Eman, and I am the founder of Hala's Grill. Hala is the name of my sweet young daughter, to whom I owe the world, but it also carries another meaning. In Arabic, Hala means welcome, and that is my mission in creating this restaurant: to build a welcoming environment with food and service that feels like home. Everyone is welcome at Hala's!
From Family Recipes to Award-Winning Flavors
I’ve always been passionate about food and hospitality, growing up in Jordan with rich Mediterranean cooking traditions. After years as an Area Supervisor at a major pizza chain, I left the corporate world to create something authentic. Today, Hala’s Grill in West Lafayette, IN, offers flavorful Shawarma, the only authentic juicy Kebabs, and halal, vegan, and vegetarian options, bringing a true taste of the Mediterranean to every guest.

When my twin sons headed to Purdue, I saw an opportunity to share my passion for authentic Mediterranean cuisine. I moved to Lafayette to open a restaurant that fills a local niche with fresh, flavorful meals. I personally source the finest meats and vegetables from Chicago, ensuring every dish is made with care. It’s my pride and joy to serve homestyle meals, and I’d be honored for you to experience them.
